When Gail Weingast MD started the process of earning her degrees and education, she did not know that she would end up working in the field of ultrasound and radiology. After finishing her medical degree, she then started her residency with an internship in the field of pediatrics from 1976-1977. This residency was at the Colorado General Hospital in Denver. Gail Weingast MD then performed her residency in pediatrics a Colorado General Hospital as well over the next two years. Once finishing her apprenticeships, she decided to try a new field of expertise and did a residency in the radiology department from 1980 to 1983 also at the Colorado General Hospital, directly followed by a fellowship in the field of Ultrasound in 1983 and this is where she solidified her career path.
